------------------ ------------------angel_wave22 I'm a highschool student, and I need some help. I'm doing a project in which I have to draw a house design from a blueprint, but that's too boring. I want to draw a design of a castle, and I was wondering where I could find castle blueprints to use for this project. If anyone could help me out, that would make things a little easier.
Thanks
ShannenGordon There are one or two sets of plans in the photo archive, linked at the foot of the page. You will also find a collection of plans of Scottish castles on my web site.

Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page angel_wave22 Thanks for the info, but I was acutally looking for some newer castles, maybe with habitants still in them? I'm sorry, I guess I should have been more clear. But if I can't find anything else, I'll be sure to used something off your website of course. But if you could help me find something a little newer that would be ALOT of help.
Thanks
ShannenAJR Check out Leeds Castle in the "Castle Floorplans" category of the Photo Archive. This may be what you are after. Gordon Shannen, castles are old, and many castles still have residents often after some renovation work. By 'newer' what do you mean, would I be right in assuming that you mean less than three hundred years old, or is it less than that? I suspect that you may be meaning the sprawling mansions which are often referred to as castles by their builders/occupants, though which are in fact not true castles since they were not fortified. I wonder if we are returning to a question of definition so often discussed in previous mails. Give us an example of the type of structure you are looking for and we may be able to help out a little more directly.

Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page angel_wave22 Sorry, I guess I really should be more clear, the Leeds castle is getting ALOT closer to what I had in mind. I guess I was kinda looking for something built in the early early 1800's, something with lots of secret passage ways and tunnels.
Sorry about that.
Shannen
